Gretchen Clum Appointed Chair of the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society

Welcome Gretchen Clum

 

The  is pleased to announce the appointment of Gretchen A. Clum, PhD, MA, MS, as Chair of the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society, effective July 1.

Clum joins us from Tulane University's Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, where she serves as Associate Dean for Academic Programs, Program Director for the online Doctor of Public Health in Leadership in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Associate Professor.

An accomplished academic leader, researcher, and educator, Clum brings extensive experience in academic program development, faculty leadership, and student success. Her research focuses on behavioral and population health, health promotion, mental health, and improving health outcomes through community-informed, evidence-based approaches.

As Chair of the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society, Clum will provide strategic leadership for the department's teaching, research, service, and community engagement activities. She will work closely with faculty, staff, students, and partners to enhance the department's academic programs, advance impactful research, support faculty development, and further the school's mission of improving population health through education, innovation, and community partnership.
